There are a few staples I can’t live without during the crisp weather in Parker, CO. For a few years now, I had been eyeing the trendy “duck boots” from L.L. Bean but never pulled the trigger due to the hefty price tag and long wait list. But, having durable, functional and stylish boots is a necessity where I live.
This year for my birthday, my fiancé purchased me “duck boot” dupes made by Eddie Bauer. The fit just wasn’t for me, so I exchanged them for the Women’s Hunt Pac Mid Boot in Sprig. The boots are waterproof which makes them perfect for the wet, snowy and slushy walkways during winter weather. To be honest, they are way cuter and versatile than the larger “duck boots.” The sprig color, similar to a hunter green, is perfect for fall and winter pairings. They go with denim, black leggings and more. And, Eddie Bauer always has sales. You can snag these beauties for only $84.00 right now! Tip: order a half size down (example: I wear an 8.5 and bought a size 8).
Paired with my boots is one of my other cold weather must haves: a cape scarf. Cape scarves are so versatile and cozy! While you can definitely wear them around your neck like the average scarf, I prefer to wear mine as a cape/blanket. It keeps me warm even on the crispiest of mornings strolling through downtown with my hot tea from Fika Coffee. While the pattern shown above was from last season at Madewell, they currently have 6 patterns available so snag one up while you can.
Outfit Details: cape scarf | turtleneck sweater (similar) | 10″ high-rise skinny jeans | boots
